The position requires technical expertise and leadership to implement and execute asset reliability strategies across a Potash operating site. Roles and responsibilities for this position are listed below.
Key Responsibilities:
· Leads site team of Operations, Maintenance and Reliability personnel to monitor asset reliability results, address issues hindering asset reliability improvements, focus on sustaining gains and delivering value to site financially.
· Provides Reliability and Process subject matter expertise to team of peers developing and deploying reliability improvement asset strategies.
· Preventive Maintenance effectiveness validation.
· Establishes maintenance best practices.
· Performs Root Cause Analyses & Root Cause Failure Analyses (RCA/RCFA) on contributors of yield, utilization, and capacity losses (attributed to equipment, processes, etc.).
· Identifies and resolves chronic failures.
· Establishes and monitor predictive maintenance program.
· Provide basic training and coaching in Reliability principles.
· Provide basic training in Precision Maintenance principles.
· Drive the successful implementation of Reliability improvement initiatives.
· Work with Potash Business Unit (PBU) Asset Integrity to deploy best practice.
· Work with maintenance engineering, planning and execution for the development, continuous improvement and application of precision maintenance procedures applied to Maximo Job Plans.
· Work with Maintenance Planning to have them implemented into Maximo.
· Provide assistance to capital, workflow, procurement for effective critical spares analysis, PM Optimization, condition monitoring, etc.
· Calculates asset life cycle and costs.
· Conducts asset risk/health analysis.
· Provides support to site’s Business Interruption/Loss Prevention programs.
· Assist in deploying the PDM condition-based monitoring system.
· Monitor and quantify reliability cost savings, increased production and / or equipment life cycle.
· Develop project plans for reliability initiatives based on Identify Define Measure Analyses Improve Control (IDMAIC) process.
Experience and Education:
· Minimum three to five years relevant experience (i.e., potash, phosphate acid, fertilizer manufacturing, granulation processes, surface mining, etc.). Potash preferred. Oil and Gas experience will be considered relevant as well.
· Mechanical Engineer or Chemical Engineer degree/experience from accredited university.
· Experience with piping, pressure vessel evaluations and failure analysis
